Our Business
KTL prides itself on being locally owned and operated, employing over 30 people who all live locally on the Hauraki Plains.
Over the past 40 years, the Challis family with the dedicated KTL team have been committed to offering all of our customers across the wider Hauraki Plains and Coromandel area friendly, professional and efficient service.
KTL are active members of the New Zealand Road Transport Association (NZRTA - Region 2) and the New Zealand Groundspreader Fertiliser Association (NZGFA), both of which Noel Challis has been a Board Member, as well as Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ).

Systems
KTL has a comprehensive Health & Safety system overseen by Safety Assist and implemented daily by the Directors of KTL.
Training
We continuously provide ongoing staff training, information, instruction and supervision to our team to ensure they are safe and understand any hazards.
Maintenance
With a fully operational workshop and engineering bay onsite we ensure that all plant, trucks and machinery are maintained to the highest standard at all times.
Work Environment
We strive to maintain a safe working environment for all of our team, whether on location, on the road, at the depot or in the office.

Sustainability
Smarter Logistics
All our vehicles are fitted with ERoad GPS Systems for realtime fleet management. This gives us the ability to redirect any vehicle as required via the shortest route, eliminating unnecessary fuel usage, time and reducing carbon emissions.
Lighter Footprint
The majority of our fleet are Scania, who are at the forefront of engine design enabling the use of cleaner fuels. Throughout our fleet we use Castrol Vectron, a new carbon neutral diesel engine oil.
Efficient Machines
We know the importance of smart and safe transport. Our onsite workshop ensures all of our plant operates with enhanced and guaranteed performance, utilising the latest technology and products available.
Technology
We use the latest technology to provide the highest level of service. We use the ERoad GPS Tracking system to provide 24 hour realtime monitoring of all our truck units, tractor units and heavy machinery. On farm we use Precision Tracking to enable proof of placement and spread rate of product applied to farmland down to the individual paddock level.
